Learning Objectives

At the end of the full programme you should be able to provide evidence of:

  1. Having a critical appreciation of the claims and principles of the integrated health care approach and how it relates to your own main therapeutic modality
  2. Having acquired and refined those key aspects of the various approaches including ethical appreciation of personal limitations
  3. Maintaining a commitment to the principle of seeking informed consent for clinical interventions and compliance with the respective codes of conduct
  4. Determining when, why and how to refer patients to the appropriate member of the integrated health care team
  5. Recognising possible ethical challenges and taking appropriate action in situations of conflict or potential conflict
  6. Empowering patents to accept responsibility for their own health including participation in regular health promoting activities
  7. Using self monitoring of health status and helping patents to recognise that not all ‘afflictions’ can be 'cured'
  8. Strengthening your commitment to experiential learning, reflective practice, criticality, problem solving and the generating of new knowledge
  9. Your unique contribution to the integrated health care model

The course brings together a faculty that develops a bespoke integrated health diploma.

Postgraduate status

The course is currently a self certified Postgraduate Diploma. However, the Integrated Health Academy is in discussions with several universities regarding University accreditation for the course.
