One of the Telegraphs's top 20 Health gurus this year.

Steve has been practicing herbal medicine since 1984 and acupuncture and Qi Gong since 1993 which he learnt on one of his three visits to China. He has completed an MSc in herbal medicine, and is currently president of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. He is Joint Head of Medical Services at The Third Space Medicine, London’s leading integrated medical centre. Steve is an international lecturer on his specialist subjects.

Steven Sandler has taught osteopathy all round the world for the last 25 years, particularly in Scandinavia and the Soviet Union, though he has also visited the United States and Japan. His main area of interest is the effect of the female cyclic hormones on connective tissues and joint mobility, (which is the subject of his PhD thesis, hopefully to be awarded in 2005).

He is currently a senior lecturer at the BSO and a consultant osteopath specialising in obstetric and paediatric cases to The Portland Hospital for women and children in London. Alongside which he runs a mixed private practice in Chingford North East London.

Dr Eric Asher has been a practising General Practitioner for over 30 years. He is one of the few Western doctors who have also qualified in Homeopathy. Dr Asher looks at each case simultaneously from Chinese and Western perspectives, both from orthodox and from the complementary medicine viewpoints, believing that doctors are more likely to arrive at the correct diagnosis using both modalities. Dr Asher was made Chair of fellows of the Faculty of Homeopathy, and is on its Specialist register. He has taught medical diagnosis and homeopathy both in the UK and abroad. Having emigrated to the UK from Australia seven years ago, Dr Asher is currently joint Head of Medical Services and Director of Clinical Governance at The Third Space Medicine. Having written various publications on homeopathy in medical practice, Dr Asher is a leader in integrative medicine.

Sarah is a qualified naturopath, medical herbalist, nutritionist and iridologist, and is a member of both the General Council & Register Of Naturopaths and The British Naturopathic Associ ation. Since 1998, she has been in full time practice as a qualified naturopath, medical herbalist, nutritionist and Iridologist – first in Sydney, and later in London, where she co-founded the Galen Naturopathic Centre. Sarah has now established her own naturopathic clinic called the Sarah Bowles-Flannery Clinic in Richmond-upon-Thames.

Dr Brian Kaplan qualified as an orthodox medical doctor at the University of the Witswatersrand, South Africa. In 1982 he came to England to study homeopathy at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital. After completing a comprehensive training in homeopathy (exclusively for medical doctors) he became a member of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 1983 and a Fellow in 2002. He then studied counselling, nutritional dietetics, fitness, yoga, Autogenic Training, and Provocative Therapy. His approach is eclectic and rigorous, with the aim of treating the whole person as well as the disease.

Matthew Wallden is one of just 3 medically qualified C.H.E.K. Level IV practitioners in the world.

He has consulted for Chelsea and Charlton Athletic football clubs, and Surrey County Cricket Club.

Matthew originally trained as an osteopath and naturopath, going on to complete a post-graduate Master’s degree in Osteopathic Medicine in 2000.

Since then he has trained to become a corrective exercise specialist, lecturing on this topic at 4 major UK osteopathic colleges.

Matthew also lectures internationally, sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, runs various professional forums and has written a number of peer-reviewed articles and publications.
